Prayer simply put is a dialogue between us and God. It’s the way we share our thoughts and concerns with Him and find out His will for our lives. From the beginning of time God always planned for mankind to be in fellowship with Him. To be able to talk with Him and share our hearts with Him. He made us to have relationship with Him. Since He no longer walks with us as He did in the Garden of Eden, prayer is our means of communicating with him. The bible tells us in Philippians 4:6 “do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God”. It tells us in 1Thes 5:17-18 “pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”.
It is extremely important to have someone stable and consistent in our lives that we can depend upon. God wants to be that someone for us. He wants us to know that He will always be there for us, that He will never leave us nor forsake us. It is a privilege to be in relationship with God and be able to go to Him with everything that concerns us.
In the times that we are currently living in, there is great uncertainty in all areas of our lives. If things are not going well for you, God is the greatest source you could ever turn to. Sometimes the enemy of our soul tries to convince us that our situation is hopeless, but it’s not! He just doesn’t want us to enjoy the victory in our lives that God has planned for us. We know that God has indeed planned victory for us because His Word tells us that “He always cause us to triumph”. Don’t believe the hype that God doesn’t answer prayer. That’s just the enemy trying to get you off of your prayer game. Believe in the Lord Jesus! He will answer. He is faithful to do what He said He would.
While His character does not change and He is totally consistent in what He says and does. He does change situations! He does change His mind and honor our prayer request when we persistently come to Him in faith, with the things that concern us. The Bible tells us that He will “perfect everything that concerns us” in Psalms 138:8.
If you are one who has or had given up on prayer, start again. Let God see your faith! Don’t give up until you see the change. God will answer, because He desires to give us the best, because every good and perfect gift comes from above. Prayer is worth your investment! Try it and see doesn’t it net you much more than you invested.
