When was the last time you woke up and said, Father God what can I do to serve you today? When was the last time somebody said “I know that person must be a Christian because they do this or that”. When was the last time someone actually saw the “Christ” in you? Or is that Not the life that you live as a Christian? Does even that word “Christian” in a society of what is politically correct and what is not, make you uncomfortable? If so, I wonder why? We are called to be peculiar people, called to be a chosen generation, called to be different! We are told to live in this world but not to be of this world. Our lifestyle should be different, and while it may be acceptable for the world to do anything that feels good and is convenient for them, it should not be so for the body of Christ. God calls us to a different standard. We are called to a standard of holiness, which represents Him as a good, faithful, and loving God to a world that desperately needs to here this message!

In the bible in Romans 12:1-2 He tells us how to have this living faith. It says “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”. This scripture tells us that God’s Word will train us, as we present ourselves to him by studying His word, and prayer on a daily basis. He will empower us, as our minds are transformed, to live it and then affect change in our sphere of influence.

At no time should our living situation and life style look like the worlds, because we are called to be its change agents. If we blend in with the world then we cannot affect the change for Christ that we seek, because we present no example for the world to aspire to become. God in His goodness toward us does not expect us to effect this change by ourselves. By following the scripture above it clearly states that we will prove what is that perfect will of God!

Prayer: Father God, I pray that today you would help me to present myself to you willingly, to be used as a change agent for you. Help my life style represent you so that when others see me they will be drawn to you. Help me to live a life of faith that glorifies you. Amen.
